David joined Celtic House in 2000. David has over 19 years of experience in intellectual property and corporate law, with a focus on technology companies.
Celtic House Involvement
David manages the partnership's back office located in Ottawa. He is responsible for the legal, administrative, and investor relations functions of Celtic House. David is the primary contact person for limited partners on matters relating to the Celtic House funds.
He has helped negotiate and structure over 100 VC investments and follow-on financings. In addition, he has represented Celtic House on 18 successful acquisitions and IPOs.
David serves as a secondary partner on several portfolio companies. He has the experience to assume the lead role in late-stage companies preparing for exit or in work-out situations. He has held directorships on 7 private boards. He also serves on the executive committee and board of Canada's Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA). David was the Chair of the CVCA 2010 Annual Conference.
