VIXS Systems Inc to integrate SypherMedia Internationals Security Technology to Facilitate Next Generation Security Solutions for Set-Top Boxes. SypherMedia International’s SypherMedia GateKeyper and SypherMedia Kernel to be Integrated into VIXS Systems I

ViXS Systems Inc., the leader in highly
innovative and advanced networked multimedia today announced that it has added
SypherMedia International's ("SMI") SypherMedia GateKeyper(TM) (SMG) and
SypherMedia Kernel(TM) (SMK) technologies into its recently announced
Xtensive(TM) applications developer software suite for its multimedia System
on Chip ("SoC") solutions. The addition of the SMI technologies will assist
conditional access providers in utilizing the recently announced Cryptography
Research International ("CRI") CryptoFirewall(TM) tamper proof security core
that will be integrated into ViXS System on Chip ICs starting with the XCode
4000 family.
"The collaboration with SMI demonstrates our leadership and commitment to
develop the very best next generation advanced security solutions for the pay
TV market," said Sally Daub, CEO and president of ViXS Systems, "We plan to
work closely with SMI to enable manufacturers and service providers to
maintain the highest levels of security that can be achieved on the ViXS XCode
family of SoC Solutions."
The SMG(TM) is a security key management and distribution system that can be
incorporated into content distribution Headend systems. The SMK(TM) is a
secure key injection software core that will be integrated into ViXS Systems
Inc.'s Xtensive(TM) software developer's toolkit.
