Auvik has developed a modeling language specific to networking. This allows for queries and actions to be made at a high level of abstraction, essentially “hiding” the details of each network element from the IT manager who is using the Auvik platform. The goal is to provide a simple definition of complex applications across a heterogeneous network. Celtic House has direct experience with this form of software architecture due to our heavy involvement with Ontology Systems (Fund III). Auvik’s abstract network model is intended to support a breadth of functions and make the user experience as straightforward as possible; rather than providing advanced and feature-rich tools for a sophisticated network manager.
